- House -

House music is strongly influenced by some elements of the late 1970s soul- and funk-infused dance music style of disco. House music takes disco's use of a prominent bass drum on every beat and developed a new style by mixing in a heavy electronic synthesizer bassline, electronic drums, electronic effects, funk and pop samples, and reverb (or delay)-enhanced vocals.

House evolved from disco and dub towards two branches.

Funk !
- Deep House : This is what I really call House. It's just groovy.
- Disco House : Saturday night fever ! I'm not so much into House in general but disco can be funny sometimes.
- French House : The newest genre from the group, represented by Daft Punk and co. A bit more filtered and funky than Deep House.

Europop
We're hitting mainstream again. Here are :
- Eurodance : Funny, stupid and fast. You don't hear much of this anymore but you'll recognize the sound of it.
- Anthem : From the same vein as Anthem Trance, it's the kind of music you expect from an overcrowded stadium with thousands of hands in the air.
- JPop : This is a genre you might never have heard of (except if you're interested in japanese culture), and you probably don't need to. Nevertheless, it's funny. But just funny.
- Nu Italo : Slower than the rest, and overusing vocoders (remember "Im blue, dabadee dabada"?). Good at a small dosage.
